Big Y 700
This project is for males descended from Robert Royce entirely through a male line. We have connected a number of individuals back to Robert’s sons Jonathan, Samuel, and Nehemiah using the Family Tree BigY700 DNA test. We would like to increase the size of the BigY700 participant list so that we can more definitively confirm the historical genealogy connections within the Royce family. We hope you will consider joining this project. The detailed DNA data remains confidential within FamilyTree.com and is only seen in the form of connections via their match list and Block Tree diagram. Gedmatch
Kate Renner is spearheading an Ancestor project on Gedmatch.com for folks who are descended from Robert Royce. If you have not discovered the Gedmatch Ancestor projects, they can be viewed from the Gedmatch home page on the lower right side under “Free Tools.” (If you do not have a free Gedmatch account, you might have to create an account to view the list of projects. If you have taken an autosomal dna test at Ancestry, 23andme, MyHeritage or FTDNA, you can upload your raw dna data to Gedmatch for free.) Gedmatch has developed the Ancestor Projects as a vehicle for a person with a Gedmatch kit number to join a project of interest. Projects are often focused on specific surnames, or oriented to geographic regions.
