W.C. Royce
About The Royce Family Association
We are a family lineage genealogical society focused on the descendants of Robert Royce and his wife Mary, who arrived in America before 1648, settling first in Stratford Connecticut and then in New London by 1657.
Robert was a shoemaker, a constable, a member of the General Assembly, and a tavern keeper. He died in 1676. The descendants of Robert Royce spread throughout New England, then, as the frontier expanded, to the Northeast and Midwest, eventually finding homes all across the United States and Canada.
Our Membership
Our association was founded in 1934 in Wallingford, Connecticut by Helen Royce. Membership in the Royce Family Association is open to all descendants of Robert Royce and anyone who is researching any of the variations of the Royce name, including but not limited to, Royse, Roice, Roys, Rice, Ryse, and Ries.
